Head’s up to you: it is pretty much the universal standard to set felony sentencing six weeks out from conviction to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentencing report by probation/parole for the consideration of the court in determining sentence. There are exceptions, but most would set the sentencing sooner rather than later. ~ former prosecutor/defense attorney with experience in multiple US jurisdictions

You will be surprised how many voters care about inflation. Just ask the typical middle class voter in Wisconsin who makes 50k a year supporting their family. When they get their groceries, they have to make sacrifices on what they can afford and what they can not. They will vote with their pocketbook and it given a crap about Trump’s conviction.

Our family in Wisconsin hate Trump and actively campaign against him. They are very much middle class - teachers, social worker and Mercury marine line worker. Ben Wikler is doing amazing work to take Wisconsin back.

Same for my midwestern family (different state, nearby though).

Another Midwestern state. Blue collar, non-union brother didn't vote Trump in '16 or '20 and can't imagine this verdict will tip the scales in Trump's favor in '24.

Bill Clinton was not convicted of felonies, it was a completely different scenario because it was basically about an affair, which was forgiven for Trump many times over.

Independent voters do not like the idea of a felon for president, and the fact that it was a jury verdict has a very different sway.

It’s not just this trial, which yes he did seem to follow with some odd interest. I think the trial was the last straw.
