My neighbors are getting a rescue pit bull

I grew up in the 70s and was badly bitten by a neighbor’s German shepherd. Other neighbors had a Gordon setter that bit their daughter’s best friend in the face. Neither dog was put down and it caused a lot of bad feelings in the neighborhood. In the 80s everyone was afraid of Dobermans and Rottweilers. Let’s not pretend that bad owners and dangerous dogs are something new.

It’s so true, growing up in the 80s I don’t remember anyone talking about pitbulls. It was all Dobermans and Rottweilers!
