Who are you voting for? |

Sammie Moshenberg. We have to get the current lot out of there, and she's the most legitimate of the group. Also, as my friend says, she's got the Jewish mom vote sewn up ![]() |
You don't need to "get the current lot out of there." That's just stupid. Institutional memory is important. Not to knock your candidate. What are her qualifications, besides the ability to confer guilt? |

Not the ones who say live in a fantasy world.
"We should have rejected the Beauregard Plan! Save affordable housing!" Um, no. Those developers owned the land and can tear down all those old, cheap apartments any time they want to put in property that will generate more $. Council managed to get a deal that will at least officially set aside some affordable housing. "Save the waterfront! No hotels near my million-dollar Old Town home! I have this great alternate plan with lots of museums!" Um, as a museum professional, I can tell you that just dumping a bunch of museums along the waterfront isn't going to magically bring in revenue. Completely economically unfeasible. So, a mix of business (in the form of some hotels) but also keeping riverside walkway open to all. Sounds good to me! So yeah, I go for rational pragmatism, rather than hyperbolic fantasy talk. |
