| I am going to an outdoor concert with friends tomorrow night and bringing a white wine sangria and thought I'd solicit tips on how to make the best one. I was thinking a pinot grigio with some sliced peaches, sliced green apples and green grapes. Any secret tips? Should I add seltzer or some other kind of fruit juice? Would a sauvignon blanc be a better choice for the base than a pinot grigio? I'm thinking something light and summery- and definitely with peaches (love peaches). |

1 gallon white Rhine wine
1 2 liter Sprite Peachtree Schnapps (750ml) Triple Sec Fruit Ice Either the night before or several hours before serving, mix the Rhine wine, Peachtree schnapps (about 1/2 bottle) and triple sec (about 1 cup). Cut up the fruit and add to wine mixture. I recommend fruit that is harder in texture so it doesn't get mushy. I use apples, pears, peaches, lemons and limes. I wouldn't use any berries. Right before serving add the 2 liter bottle of Sprite and lots of ice. I fill the glasses to the top with ice instead of adding the ice to the mix. Enjoy! |
