A post about Club Med Sandpiper got me thinking it might be a good getaway for my DH, DS (8 months) and me. Couple questions -
- how's the babysitting? We'd probably have the baby with us by the pool most of the time but may want to do some other activities and drop him off... (probably wouldn't go til he was 1) - any concerns about hurricane season? We were thinking about late September/early October. What's Club Med's hurricane policy? thanks in advance. |
| I am the pp from the other thread that just got back from Sandpiper. We had both our kids, 5 yo and 14 mo, in the kids' club. I have to say, I was not sure whether we would fully utilize the service for the 14 mo, but we did. They do a great job there. The women taking care of the little ones are very warm and caring and the facility is quite nice. They take the babies on walks, to the baby pool, etc. etc. (at least for the walker babies). For the younger infants, they follow each babies' schedule. They have a separate sleeping room, which most daycares here don't have, which is nice. Also, the ratio is great - some days it was 1:1, other days 1:2. Don't know anything about the hurricane policy. |

Hi - hopefully the pp will see this and respond. For the baby club med - do you have to pay when you reserve or can you do it more on a day-by-day basis when you get there? It looks like it's an additional $360 for a 4 night stay. I'm not sure that we'd use it every day though.
Thanks! |
I am also interested in the answer to this question - what is the additional cost and how is it structured. Thanks in a advance! |
