Arrowroot Starch

Does anyone know where I can find arrowroot starch in DC?

Call first but I think I saw it in the spice section of Whole Foods (it wasn't in the baking aisle).

How much do you need? There are usually small jars with the spices, or you can get a bag of the Bob's Red Mill brand at "hippy" stores.

Giant and Safeway have Arrowroot; it's in the spice rack.

Arrorwroot is a thickener, much like cornstarch.

OP here. I saw a jar in the spice section at Whole Foods but I don't think they had the Bob's Red Mill bag (what I'm looking for). What hippy stores should I look at? The takoma park coop? Moms?

I'm using it as a substitute for all purpose flour. We'll see how it goes.
