Places for IVF monitoring?

Anonymous
I've just moved back to this area after a few years away. I need to have just ultrasound and bloodwork done for an IVF cycle. (For the actual IVF transfer, I'm going back to the city where I was living. Those embryos have already been moved too much).

Anyway, I don't want to go back to Shady Grove where I was previously a patient. For just a few ultrasounds and blood draws, they want to charge me a fortune. Since they already have about $80K from me from years past, I kinda think they should have given me a break on this but no.

Does anyone have experience with Quest for doing IVF blood draws? I assume that they could do the bloodwork.

And is there such a thing as a place to go for ultrasounds (for a baseline ultrasound and possibly 2 uterine lining checks)? I'll be able to provide the prescriptions (or whatever they're called) from my IVF doctor for this monitoring.

Many thanks for your help.

Try Dr. Preston Sacks at Columbia Fertility downtown. He has monitored in the past for various doctors in NYC and NJ (and did so for me -- he is absolutely fantastic with the best bedside manner). I would start by having your RE call him directly, if he is with one of the big practice groups, he likely already knows Dr. Sacks.
