I am planning for a second delivery and have decided to do things quite differently than last time. I am trying to find out the difference between Hypnobirthing and Birthworks. It is for a hospital delivery with a doctor. I know a midwife would be a better idea, but I can't handle the nearly $4K that the insurance won't cover with a midwife. I plan on laboring at home with a doula for as long as possible.
What kind of tools are offered through Birthworks for dealing with the contractions? I have seen reviews of both and I get the idea that Birthworks is basically talking through the feelings of birth. Is that accurate? Any insight would be helpful. TIA!! |
Birth Works is awesome! Most educators do a lot of relaxation and visualization as well. I would second contacting the area Birth Works educators to get a feel for their classes. Also, hire a doula if you are birthing at a hospital...especially if you are not going to birth with a midwife! |
