I'm 38, mom of 3, size 6-8 (would order 8 in this suit), proportional, 34 B/C chest. do you think the horizontal stripes would be a problem? I'd get the green or bright blue (not white/blue stripes). |
| I don't know - its cute but I just bought a different striped one-piece and because I have a slightly poochy mom belly, the stripes look bumpy over it and emphasize the pooch rather than hide it. I'm returning it. If they have the same suit in a pattern that's not stripes or a solid, then its cute. |
| Sorry, I don't like the stripes and it looks a little "too old" for a 38 year old. Get a cute bikini they have the high waisted ones on the site. |

Very cute in the white/blue, though I don't like the other colors. I don't like stripes, but if you do, go for it.
I'm in my early twenties and I don't think it looks "too old" for a 38 year old. |
| I like the cut, but not the stripes -- a little too sailor looking for my taste. But if you like that look, go for it. It's definietly not too old looking for a 38-year old. J.Crew doesn't make clothing "too old" for anyone in their 30s or 40s, IMHO. |

I think you just have to see how it fits on you - the concern I would have is whether it gives the girls enough support, as I've found JCrew doesn't do as well as other brands with this (the only reason I would say JCrew suits are for a younger crowd). But they usually have free shipping if you order more than $150, so order a bunch of suits, try them on at home, and return what doesn't work to a store.
Also, you may want to size down - when I ordered JCrew suits earlier this year they ran larger than in the past. |
| I don't think it's that flattering on the model. |

J Crew has free shipping and returns on swimwear right now. Go to their swimsuit page for details.
I don't like the stripes either, and I think they make the model's (probably tiny) hips look big. |
| Strips will make you look wide... don't do it, op |
