Moving from LA to DC in a few weeks. Can anyone suggest a good moving company?

Hi. I am moving to the DC area from LA and need to find a mover I can trust. If you have moved across the country and had good experiences with a company I woud really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance! Also if you've done this move before is there any info you can tell me that might make the move easier?

Biggest help for making the move easier? Hire a moving company! You're already ahead. I can't rec our company yet though as we are still waiting to receive our things.

If you have kids, I also recommend getting a hotel from the first day of packout. That way, you aren't living among tall mountains of boxes piled precariously high.

I don't think they will do it, but I think they can recommend a good company - call Beltway Movers. Our agent recommended them for a local move.

If you have to store your stuff temporarily make sure the storage is air conditioned, otherwise your stuff can mildew. We moved from the west coast. Get ready for major culture shock.
