You weren’t around in 2015 then. There were like 12 teams that were contending. Even South Lakes had multiple D1 kids. South County was great. Woodson won states in 2017. So many good teams. So I couldn’t agree less with that statement. |
| lol yeah it’s been the same 6 teams every year in 6a that we talk about in here and are good. Just cuz Indy was added doesn’t mean there is parity now. Might be the worst take on this board in a while. |
| I’d say around 2016 was probably the best year in lacrosse. Everyone was good especially the Loudoun teams like Valley, Woodgrove, County were great teams. And either Stone Bridge or Briar won states? I can’t remember which. But I agree Va Public school lacrosse is just not good anymore unfortunately. |
Indy can do both 6v6 and Transition - You're correct. |
Is this real?!?!?!? Listen, this is not complicated. YT beat Cosby and Battlefield, and Madison beat Robo. Get the facts straight before you start talking. This kind of mix-up shouldn’t be happening, so pay attention and stop repeating it incorrectly. |
Right. But last years 6a champ won’t get through districts. Langley might not either. Gainesville definitely won’t. |
| 6a wasn’t a thing until 2014 |
Is this real?!?!? This guy can’t understand this list was the laxnumbers rankings based on SOS??? Indy people are a little slow |
You’re discounting the fact that lacrosse has grown significantly across the country but the number of D1 schools has not. Lacrosse teams today, filled with club team kids, would soundly beat those older teams. If we’re using D1 commits as the yardstick, VA public school lax hasn’t gotten worse there is just a lot more competition. |
Lemme get my popcorn |
Dominion was the best team in the state that year. |
Another terrible take |
This literally makes no sense lol |
|
There’s some truth to both arguments here.
Lacrosse has grown well beyond traditional hotbeds like Long Island, Philly, MD (and by extension NOVA), and Upstate New York, with strong expansion across the South, Midwest, and West leading to more competitive high school programs nationwide. Id say while the very best teams today are similar to those from a decade ago, the average team is noticeably stronger. Hotbeds still dominate D1 rosters however the talent pool has expanded tremendously particularly in Florida, California, and Texas. |
So 6a lacrosse lives and dies by Chantilly HS? Quite the odd mole hill to hoist your yourself upon to die there. |
