Ed Schultz: If Romney wins this election, there’ll never be another Democratic president

Anonymous

But it’s pretty clear to me what’s happening here. They are trying to set it up that if Mitt Romney gets elected, if Mitt Romney gets elected, there will never be a Democratic president again in the history of the United States. The future is just, this is the way it’s going to be. There’ll never be a Democratic president in our lifetime again. And when I say in our lifetime, I’m talking about long, long, long, long, long time.

This is why Wisconsin’s so important. The people of the country need to know that you can defeat it. And this in many respects is doing the country a favor, the way they’re operating, the way they’re lying, the way they’re backing up the worst candidate, the worst governor in the country, his record’s horrendous, and who he’s a puppet to.

So that’s why this is so important. They’re trying to make it so Barack Obama doesn’t get re-elected and no Democrat ever will be elected into the White House.

Good God! Is Scott Walker going to win in Wisconson next week? Ed Schultz is right,... things look very, very dark indeed.

Quick! It is not too late to donate to Tom, Barrett's campain,...

desperation has set in. It will be good for Obama as a person to feel defeat. Everything has come so easy for him that he hates being argued with. He needs to grow as a human.

What is your factual basis for everything coming so easy for him? Graduating magna cum laude from one of the nation's best law schools was easy? Going around extremely dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago and organizing communities was easy?

It's fine that you don't like Obama. It's fine that you disagree with his policies. But what bothers me are these sweeping generalities that have no basis in fact.

Are you sure you're talking about Obama. This is a much better fit for W.

Yes, because Romney's going to magically fix everything, right?

The same thing's going to happen, Romney will win the election, is not going to be able to fix the economy, and we will elect a new democrat, and on... and on...

You do realize that he lost badly in a congressional race before becoming a US senator, right?

Well I think with Romney coming in it will be perfect timing even if he does nothing because the economy will rebound. Hopefully we can stop this stupid social experiment. We tried the lib way and it has failed, let learn from this like Carter and never do it again.

um, the economy did fine under clinton. guess we'll conveniently forget that, right?

it took a LOOOONG time to get to where we are. 4 years with completely hostile Rs in the Congress who made getting much done impossible? It's a miracle ANYTHING got passed in the first term.

I still think my favorite WaPo columnist is right - the public is having a temper tantrum. Fixing all of this is going to take a VERY long time, but we're totally impatient.

Do we live in the same country? What polices specifically have we tried that you disagree with? The inconvenient truth is that Obama has been far, far friendlier to big business than to the people who voted for him.

So you are saying the economy is going to get better, it's just a matter of time. In that case, Obama is not a failure. The liberals succeeded.

You know the smart money is betting that there will be need for another tarp type bail out. The European banking crisis is an American banking crisis. All the banks have huge exposure.
As for Ed's point....money wins elections and the dems do not have the money. Obama will be out spent 2-3 x.

Of course it's just a matter of time. *sigh* Seriously? That's what passes for insight on the left? lol

I'm actually hoping Obama wins. That way he'll be here when his mistakes and failed/lack of policy re Medicare, Medicaid, SS, etc., and all of the other hard realities that he's avoided in order to get reelected come home to roost and we'll be done with the ridiculous 'Progressive' BS for the remainder of my lifetime.

Wow, I didn't know those were new realities. I thought they existed when republican presidents ignored them too.

If republicans really were going to fix those issues, then they would say so in their campaign. Last years bright idea on Medicare, which was to dump cost increases for health care onto the elderly, lasted less than a year because republicans ran from it. And the last republican idea for social security was for people to invest it in the market. The obvious problem there was demonstrated when Bush brought the stock market to its knees and people lost 1/3 of their 401k.

So go ahead, promise to fix these things. Ask your candidate to put up a specific pla. Who knows, if his ideas are good then it may help him. I doubt he'll do it.

Who is the Ed Schultz anyway? Is he a Republican shill?

Of course Scott Walker's decisive win in Wisconsin is not important and does not mean anything. It would be ridiculous to think otherwise...

Obama is going to win in Nov. Really, he is...!
