I'm traveling from Arlington to BWI next week and realized that it's been years since I've had to tip a shuttle driver. Can anyone tell me what a reasonable tip would be on the $45 fare? I'm hoping for some assistance loading (I'm traveling alone with my infant DS, his carseat, stroller, one suitcase, and my diaper bag.) Does $10 sound right? |
$10 is generous- it's supposed to be 15% of fare- lifting one little suitcase is not a big deal- what your load is is irrelevant.. also- tipping is not mandatory- if the person is later, rude, car dirty- don't feel obligated.. hopefully you do have a great experience of course ![]() |
The PP said it all.
Overall, it doesn't even sound like you have a lot of stuff (relatively speaking) so it should be basically common courtesy on behalf of the driver to assist you with unloading and loading (curbside too!) your suitcase (that is all the driver normally does - just load and unload - no flagging down an airport courier, no helping you to the ticket line, etc.) |
