Anyone has any idea whats the difference between the AAP of FCPS and Futura of Loudon county?

Level IV AAP in Fairfax is full-time; Loudoun has part-time pull-out.

and I have heard that Loudon's AAP is for very few kids top 1 to 2 % where as FCPS AAP is for top 4-10% kids.. any thoughts?

Most AAP kids test in the top 2%

I bet even the kids in FCPS who aren't in the AAP classes know how to spell "Loudoun" correctly.

Although most kids in Futura have test scores in the top 2-3%...I would say about 10% of the 4th grade class at my child's school was in Futura this past year.

Loudoun's elementary program is more like 1980s GT enrichment. The kids get pulled out of general ed class for a few hours (once a week? twice a month? something like that) to do a random project. Then they get sent back to class and have to make up everything they missed.

Loudoun has grown so fast that they are focused on building schools and finding space for all their overcrowded schools--they are still half day K for space reasons. GT is not really a prirority.
