Recommendation for Professional Cleaning of Jetted Tub

Anonymous
We have a whirlpool/jetted tub in our bathroom, and our buyers asked us (after the home inspection) to have it professionally cleaned, including within the side panel. Has anyone had this done? Any good companies you could recommend?

Thanks in advance?

I have never heard of a pro company specifically for this. Are they not satisfied by a professional cleaning company doing it?

Maybe call a hot tub company? This is PP

google this--there are homemade mixes you can do--should satisfy the buyer. If this were me, I would tell them to go pound sand. They can clean it to their satisfaction themselves.

Even if you professionally clean it for them, doesn't mean that they won't have to do the work themselves. Jet tubs require regular maintenance, they should know this. I personally would clean it myself if I were that grossed out to actually ask my seller about it. This way I would ensure it's to my specifications.

In any case, they can replace it with a regular soaking tub if they want. Are you worried they won't buy the house because of this?

when i had one i ran it on high when filled with chlorox water and some dishwasher detergent....gets the moldy bits out

Does it work? Has it been maintained?

Perhaps they saw the house we did where we filled the jet tub, the jets kind of worked, and then when draining, water started leaking everywhere and dripping through to the foyer... They might just be paranoid, plus ripping out a tub is very costly when/if redoing a bathroom.

OP here - thanks, all, for the responses. Yes, the tub works, and no, it definitely doesn't leak down to the foyer when draining! If I saw that in a house I was considering buying, I would definitely ask for more than a cleaning! =) The tub is fairly clean, but only as clean as I can get it using a sponge and Q-tips in the jet openings-- I think they want a deep clean. The problem is, most of what I am finding online is hot tub maintenance and cleaning, which is considerably more expensive. I'll figure something out -- maybe I'll contact one of those companies and see if someone can do my little old tub for cheap?

One lesson I've learned: Jetted tubs are great for vacations, not so much for the home. I think I've used it a grand total of five times, and now this headache!

Anyway, thanks again!

one think you'll need to remember is that the pipe and tubs we can get to clean its what cause us infection and holds all the germs that why its good to get it professional clean that can take the pipe out and clean the I had a friend just did like you'll and just kept doing the basic cleaning and she end up in the hospital from all that bacterial and germs build up.
