birther nonsense = bush caused 9/11

Anonymous
im curious on what the right would say had the dems run on a platform that suggested bush caused (not drop the ball on 9/11 CAUSED it as in sat in the room with cheney and planned the whole thing) 9/11 back in 2004 when kerry ran?

i understand that there were very serious tin hat wearers just like the birthers who thought bush and co. caused 9/11 but thats not what im asking.

im asking what if the dems decided to do exactly what the right is doing with the birthers today in personally condemning the conspiracy theorists but pandering enough with the truthers to allow their bullshit ideas to persist and be part of the dem narrative against bush?

Can you give some examples of candidates on the right who are pandering to birthers and what specifically they are doing? I pay no attention to birthers so maybe I've missed some things.

Nobody in the republican party has 100% fully separated themselves from the birthers.

One on one, Boehner or any other republican gives a halfhearted belief that obama was born here and have not outright admonished the movement.

and most major right wing figures (hannity, limbaugh, sons of brietbart) find that nice line where they claim they believe obama was born here but entertain every new theory that questions his birth place to fester. the latest being the pamphlet nonsense.

and whats been happening in arizona is another example.

im not pointing out fringe nonsense groups cause both sides can point to wackos on their side. im pointing out to major players in the party who continue to entertain the birther nonsense while personally claiming they believe obama was born here. you cant have it both ways

Birthers and now Trump's demand for college transcripts are Romney's version of "I'm severely conservative."
The wing nuts went bonkers over Geo Clooney's fund raiser for Obama..The horror of Hollywood and their legislative demands. They must be having fund raising orgasms over Trump's gala in Vegas

Google "Van Jones" to get some idea how Republicans would act with regard to a "truther" anywhere near the Obama campaign. Note, Van Jones isn't even a truther.

Just kick out Obama and you won't have to hear it anymore.

Obama is an American and Bush didn't cause 9/11 but:

born in kenya isn't = killed thousands of americans.

It's closer to birthers=Bush stole the election from Kerry

Dems didn't distance themselves from that at all.

Has Obama publicly demanded any of his supporters STOP doing something or condemn it?

What authority or say does any politician have over 3rd part supporters?

I am still waiting for Obama to condemn the actions of his Bain capital supporters that ran the company while firing people after romney left. Or to even give back 1 million from bain capital

Not sure what you are talking about regarding killing thousands of Americans, and Bush v. Kerry went all the way to the Supreme Court, so it's not a conspiracy theory but an actual political event about which people have differing beliefs.

You mean like when Boehner said that what the state of Hawaii said was good enough for him BEFORE Trump demanded a birth certificate?

Why does he have to keep readressing an issue when he already addressed it?

You are so clueless. Mitt Romney is right now going to a fundraiser hosted by Donald Trump, an unabashed birther, so it's not a matter of "authority" over 3rd party supporters. And yes, Obama condemned Bill Maher for his comment that Mitt Romney's religion is a "cult".

John McCain called out people in his own campaign rallies when they attacked Obama's birth status or religion. At least he had a spine. Romney's a jellyfish when it comes to conviction.

FYI. Boehner's most recent response to the question: "Do you believe Obama was born in the US?". " I have no comment, we'll let the American people decide."

you actually made my point. boehner and republicans give halfhearted responses to the idea that obama was born in america. his answer along with other officials are weak and are more about believing that obama was born in hawaii now but leaving enough room where they can be swayed otherwise.

Republicans would let and encourage a terrorist attack on the US if they thought it would hurt Obama's chances of re-election. We really have to worry about this. Cheney/Rumsfeld promoted right wing nut jobs in the defense and intelligent.
