You may have done this already, but I would definitely check with your RE/nurse about what meds you can and can't take. I am at SGF and they have generally told me that I can take the same OTC meds that I could take when I was pregnant (e.g., Tylenol but not Advil). Of course, some people do not want to take any OTC meds while TTC and when pregnant and that is up to you, but I just went with whatever the RE/nurse/OB told me was ok. I figure that if there is any chance that the meds could interfere with a cycle, they would say not to take them, and if they say it is ok, then it is because the meds are not likely to have an effect.
Unfortunately I do not have a success story to share. I got a horrible stomach bug (either that or food poisoning) a couple of days before an embryo transfer once. I called the RE the morning of the transfer and he said it was ok to go ahead with the transfer as long as I was feeling better and, most importantly, did not have a fever. Unfortunately that one did not work, but it's impossible to know if it was because of the sickness or not. I have also done embryo transfers when I was not sick at all during the cycle that did not work (and at least one that did work!). Best of luck in your cycle.
