It's my turn to select and I would appreciate any ideas.
We're currently reading Katherine Boo's "Behind the Beautiful Flowers: Life, Death and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity". TIA |
| Last month it was Chardonnay. I think this month we might be upgrading to Pinot Grigio. |

The Orphan Master's Son
Beautifully written, fascinating setting, lots to discuss |

Our last few have been:
State of Wonder (loved it except for ending) Alice I have been (I didn't like it but most did) Cutting for Stone (loved it) Tiger's Wife (enjoyed it - most didn't) Those Who Save Us (loved it) Mists of Avalon (really interesting until page 900 - could have done without the last 100 pages) We're about to do Hunger Games as a break after Mists. |
I wrote this novel and will be in dc in two weeks for a reading. If the timing worked, I could talk to your group about north korea. cheers, adam http://library.arlingtonva.us/ai1ec_event/author-event-the-orphan-masters-son-by-adam-johnson-central/?instance_id= |
