Gypsy Wedding show on TLC

Oh my god, I just turned this on for the first time - have only been watching for a few minutes...who the F *are* these people?! Where are they? Shocking.

I watched a couple episodes. Watch it with a grain of salt. Just because you see something on tv, it doesn't mean that everyone else in that culture/ethnic background/religion/blah is the same way as well.

I believe there is an American and a British show. Both feature gypsy or Roma couples.

Yah, I think the show started with gypsies in Great Britain, but now they have a US version. WTF knew there were gypsies in the US? Heck, I didn't even know gypsies existed at all anywhere anymore. I have watched this show two or three times during a marathon and felt like I was missing something. I kept waiting for a camera to pop out, watching me watching the show, as if it were a joke of something. Very weird!!

My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding is new and some episodes are on tonight. Last season was the European version.

Yes, the ones on tonight were in
WV. The way it's portrayed on the show, it looks like the society is set up to keep women so bust constantly cleaning, etc that they never even have time to think about doing anything else with their lives.
