| Have any of you used these new (to the U.S.) BB creams? I kept seeing them advertised so I bought the clinique version last week and I have to say, I'm not impressed. I've been using it, it's sort of like a tinted moisturizer, under some mineral powder and by mid-day I feel like my face is naked. Are there other brands that people are using that work better at providing decent coverage without looking too heavy? |

Jat FYI the BB creams that have mostly made it to the US aren't true BB creams; they're just tinted moisturizers. Musings of A Muse blog has a lot of info and opinions on this subject.
I've seen a lot of people wearing BB creams, though, and I just have to say, don't bother. That weird silicone base and one size fits all color just looks like bad foundation, and usually foundation that's far too pale. It's just not flattering. You'll do so much better with a well matched foundation! |
| I have the Dior Snow BB Cream. It seems too think for me-not at all like a tinted moisturizer. Perhaps I am not blending well enough, but it seems to emphasize the pores, although it does seem to cover a small facial scar very well. |
| I just got the Garnier version but haven't used it yet. I did try it at the store and loved that the color blended into my skin perfectly, like it was a perfect color match and that is so rare for me. |
| PP here - I've tried the Asian versions at Sephora, but they are way to pale or gray for me. I think they are meant to be worn under foundation. |
No, they aren't supposed to be worn under foundation. |
It can be worn under foundation. It is a tinted moisturizer, but even as moisturizer alone, it may not work for your face. I use another moisturizer underneath. I used to also wear no foundation, but found that using BB cream is a good compromise between wearing powder vs. foundation. |
| I am in love with the Dr. Jart water one. It is the best thing ever. I get compliments on my skin all the time. |
I have been using this one as well for a couple weeks now, blends great and I wear less foundation! |

As I have shared in a couple of other threads, I have used the Garnier and Two Faced versions and like both a lot. I do not wear foundation over them. They give me the coverage I need. The Garnier has better hydration, but the Two Faced offers a greater number of shade options.
I am over 50, and like BB because they do not settle in my fine lines and they give me a glow without any shimmer. |
I'm talking about some of the Asian ones. Do you live in Korea?? |
