Has anyone used Micah Salb for a divorce?

Michelle Zavos just won a precedent setting lesbian divorce case in Maryland....she seems excellent.

Zavos runs up the fees - and fast! Work is shoddy at best. Don't know much about Salb's experience with divorce work.

I can't even believe what I'm reading about Michele Zavos! She is excellent. We used her for both our adoptions, and for doing our paperwork for HIPPA, POA, etc. I can't say enough good things about her. Recommended her to two other couples, who have also had great experiences with her.

I don't know if she does divorces, but please OP, get recommendations from actual people who aren't on an anonymous forum by just asking Micah or Michele for them.

This really isn't helpful - can you be more specific? What was not impressive?

I think he does a lot of estate planning and second parent adoptions. If it were me I'd go with someone who focuses more on divorce.

Michelle has a similar practice, friends who are also attorneys have been unimpressed with the work she did for them - slow, typos, etc.

Now that LG couples have more legal "rights" you can think beyond niche practices.

Susan Silber is excellent and handles divorce as well as other LGBT matters.

It is difficult to respond to anonymous postings. People going through divorces and dissolutions are in very traumatic times in their lives. I am a lgbt attorney ( totally unrelated field) and I know Micah, Michelle and sue well. Micah is certainly the brightest of the bunch and I think the world of him, just don't let him pawn you off on another attorney. Michelle and sue are competent unless you have sizable net worth ( in which case Micah is the only one competent of the 3).
