So I'll start off by saying that I"m always really paranoid about food being left out/leftovers etc.
So we bought chicken last week (each breast is vaccum sealed) and put it immediately in the freezer. I took a package (2 breasts) out Tuesday morning with the intentions of using them that night. Got home late and the breasts were only about 20% defrosted so we didn't use them. Wednesday night I went out with some friends so we didn't use them that night. When I got home last night, I checked them and they were fully defrosted. I would like to use them tonight, but I'm not sure if they are still good. So to clarify: went immediately in freezer; Day 1: barely defrosted at all Day2: fully defrosted Day 3: safe to eat?? Both DH and I have killer allergies right now, so not sure I'd even be able to smell them if they were bad! haha. |
| Yes, totally safe! They would have been safe if they had been in the fridge that entire time, too. |
