+1 and doesn't even try to downplay that need for attention. Embarrassing need for attention.

If I looked this good at 52, I’d want all the attention too!

really? you would like the whole world to stare at you 24/7? i doubt it, or else, you have some serious issues, just like JLo.

It comes with being an actress and a super star.

I can’t think of many actresses who seek this level of attention at her age. You certainly don’t see Jennifer Gardner, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Berrymore, Cameron Diaz… name any other actress in their 50s, seek the spotlight like this. JLo is next level.

True. She is a Diva. And many people love her for it!

I find it kind of refreshing. Most actresses fade once they hit their mid-40s and disappear by mid-50s. Women on this very site complain about being invisible once they reach a certain age. She’s determined to stay culturally relevant and is pretty successful at it.

What does culturally relevant mean?

I kind of get this but at the same time it’s depressing that she needs to at culturally relevant by trying to maintain youth at all costs. Much more depressing than refreshing.

The issue with J Lo, known in Hollywood circles, is that she's a medium talent. She cannot sing. She cannot act. She is a decent dancer but buoyed by backup support.
Anonymous
Affleck has stable influences in his life such as Damon and Garner. Surely they could have intervened? Chris Affleck is known to loaaaathe JLo.

She stays culturally relevant by marrying an ex and staging pap walks. She’s as culturally relevant at this point as Kim kardashian- not talent based.

I just listened to the wedding song and it is in my head now!! Kinda catchy but I want it out.

She’s very rich and very beautiful, but I feel sorry for her. I don’t think she’s capable of true happiness.

I have to wonder if she experienced some trauma in childhood because her emotional maturity is stunted.

Who cares what his MOM thinks? The man is 50 years old and can marry anyone he wants without checking if his mom likes them.

Clearly she has a really strong worth ethic to pull all of this off. She was in Vegas, then France, then Georgia, now Milan (I think NYC at some point too.)

I suspect a lot of the last year was rebound from ARod and essentially sticking it to ARod.

And yet despite what “Hollywood circles” think - or don’t - JLo is an international superstar.

I think it’s because she has been married 4 times.

Plus her fiance A-Rod, the guy she adored so much and blended families...but oops! Not really. Blended families with Ben's a month later..true love... for awhile.

A-Rod likely cheated on her. Plus Marc’s been engaged/married several times too. The vitriol at just Jennifer is unfair.

Yes, A-Rod cheated on her. That doesn’t means she needs to immediately run out and blend families with someone else. There’s not the vitriol for Marc Anthony because he doesn’t put himself out there and flaunt his relationships. I can’t tell you how many time he has or has not been married, or in a serious relationship or whether he put his kids in the middle of those relationships because he’s not doing pap walks constantly begging for the world to see how in love he is with his newest partner.

Yes, your concern for her children is so evident. It’s probably for the best if you take all the kids on JenL and Ben’s custodial days, so they can feel your abiding love and sanity.

You don’t know about Marc Anthony’s love life because you don’t hate him irrationally, so you’re not feeding your emotional arguments. More to the point, he consistently chooses very young women with nowhere near his level of fame, which can’t be underestimated in Spanish-speaking, salsa-music loving parts of the world. There isn’t similar interest because these women don’t have the audience, fame, and presumably $$$$ for photos of Lopez. That’s why.

Sorry. When you take a selfie of yourself in bed on yiur honeymoon, you're SEEKING the attention of the public.

She’s trashy.

The Kardashians are, too.
