Are all of the call ins fake? I have been wondering since all of this went down, but I thought that surely at least the call ins were real (considering they blast the phone number like 15 times and cut to other segments to get callers; Plus the interns seem to spell names wrong and such). If so, what the hell do they do with all of the people that actually call when they advertise the number?

Not all the calls are fake, but many of the calls that involve crazy stories I believe are fake. I could be wrong, but for some reason I feel like I read that somewhere or heard it from someone. Maybe it is just me being suspicious since I found out war of the roses and Kane scams are fake.

You know what's really annoying is that they say stuff like, "If you have someone you'd like us to scam, email us!" and then they're fake. Urgh. I knew Roses was, but for real, all of this just makes me think the whole show is fake as hell.

Yall I've called into the Kane show quite a few times, and numerous occasions I've heard my friends on the radio. Not all of the calls are fake

What I really believe is fake are the contests.Has anyone ever gotten through.I have been listening for years and there is always a busy signal when you call the contest numbers .Damn is anything real on this show.I really believed the scams were real wow

I really wish the scams were real. Why would they need to be fake? Has anyone ever submitted an idea for a scam and heard back from them? I for one know of someone I would like to prank

It would never pass legal...the party on the other end of the line has to be informed that they are bing recorded for radio before any discussion of any sort happens....which would defeat the purpose of the "scam". Even if you know the other party wouldn't mind being recorded without their knowledge and they are totally ok after finding out it was a prank, its just one of those legal liabilities, and I doubt clear channel would be ok with that. As far as I know, you are not allowed to get consent at the end of the conversation. I could be wrong, but thats what I read when I looked into it a while ago.
