I have heard claims on this board that the real concern Republicans have with gay rights is not legal equivalence but the redefinition of marriage. I think this lays bare the true Republican intentions. Let's stop pretending. Your party has and will continue to oppose gay rights when possible.

Why does someone have to place a label on it to have rights, what is you have no intention of getting married. The fundamental rights for a person should be there before the mention of marriage even enters the conversation. If they were afforded the rights, marriage would not even be in the conversation.

The Colorado bill wasn't a marriage bill. It is a civil union bill.

All I want to know is the race of the congressperson. According to DCUM he is undoubtably Black. Afterall, it is only the Black people and all the Black people who oppose gay marriages. Nobody else, just the Blacks.

I think they are against it becuase it will take the spot light off them and we will have to whisper and look over our shoulder when we say (looking over shoulder now) gay
