Jon Stewart showed a bunch of Fox Newsers accusing Obama of playing politics with gay marriage (despite the likelihood that it will lose him votes). Has anyone on Fox criticized Rick Santorum for encouraging Romney to grab the issue as a sure vote-getter? |
Fox doesn't have enough ratings to influence anything. |
Fox happens to be the highest rated cable news outlet. They are the voice of the Tea/GOP. A highly effiecint, cost free, promo machine for Romney who is interviewed(?) or better put, fed soft ball questions nightly by the Faux newsy types, Sean, Billy O, Cavuto, et al.
Never underestimate such a powerful foe. Question is why Mitt refuses to appears anywhere else. He's A Politician playing politics |

Republicans are scared of the gay issue. When someone accuses you of playing politics, it means what you did is smart. And that means that openly discriminating against gays is becoming more and more risky. |
Being the highest rated cable news outlet is like being the mayor of podunk. 2 million people watch it. 320 million people live in the country. Far more people still watch the network news -- by a factor of about 8 or 9. It's marginal. It's not influential. |
Fox is subversive. They make up stories, push them through bloggers and them push the store as if it is true. |
Exactly. Fox accusing Obama playing politics is their way of saying that Obama has found a wedge issue to use against Republicans. It's normally Republicans using wedge issues against Democrats, so this must be a new experience for them. |
They are also going to try as hard as possible not to say the word "immigration" either. I wonder if rebroadcasting the republican primary is "playing politics" too. |
in addition to their distaste of the immigrant word, Fox has added two other talking point delete, price of oil/gasoline and gold. Huckabee had 2 pro gay marriages talkingheds on tonight???? |
Nobody should bank a campaign on commodity prices. The market giveth, and it taketh away. |
