Trying to think of something to make alongside a bushel of crabs for a small party aside from the standards: corn, burgers, dogs. I'm eh on crabs, and some friends only eat few so we'd need something more substantial. Any ideas? Thanks!!

| corn on the cob. roasted potatoes. green salad. you don't need anything else! |

Potato salad of some sort
Sauteed corn (in butter with scallions), tossed with chunks of tomatoes that have been dressed in cider vinegar, salt and pepper. |
| Hand-cut french fries |
|
cheap beer
|
| I'd get a lot of crudites, a fruit plate, potato salad, pasta salad, corn on the cob, guacamole and salsa and chips, and call it a day. You can make or outsource any of that stuff. |
This! And the corn sounds awesome!!!! |
|
cole slaw
fried chicken |
| Macaroni and cheese, especially if kids will be there. Or a hearty pasta salad. |
| Bagged cole slaw with Vidalia Onion dressing, old bay and salt and pepper. The old bay makes it go really well with crabs. Also, not mayonnaise so it doesn't get that funky smell that mayonnaise gets when left out of the fridge. |
| And key lime pie |
| Great ideas, thanks! |
| baked beans, fried chicken, vegetable kabobs |
| I would recommend anything you can eat w your hands. If you are eating crabs, it is a mess. Mind you, I love them! So, fries, hushpuppies, corn, the veggies sound good. |
