The DC Public Library is hiring "teens of distinction" for our year-round Jobs 4 Teens Program. We are excited about bringing in more teens and transforming the public libraries into exciting, youth-centered spaces! Please help spread the word to all the motivated young people you know. Details are below: Job description: http://dclibrary.org/dcpl/cwp/view.asp?a=1264&q=568249 Teen Aides are responsible for welcoming library users; sorting, organizing and shelving books, magazines and other materials; assisting library users by checking in and checking out books; answering telephones and providing basic information to library users; assisting with library programs and events by helping with registration, crafts and activities and distribution of handouts and materials; and participating in special projects or focus group discussions designed to explore such areas as library service to teens. They may perform other related duties as assigned.
