Anyone for a 50s-style home near RCP in Chevy Chase?

I kind of like the 50s vibe and the setting looks gorgeous. The windows are fantastic, and yes, I will take that lap pool right off the master bedroom. Kitchen meh but in keeping with the style of the home. But I have two questions for today's contestants:

1. Where is the 4th bedroom?
2. Am I the only one who likes/would buy this style of home?

OMG! What is with all of the real estate posts!!!! Give a friend a call and go over these houses, op!

I think it's awesome. My husband would want it for the pool alone. Love the style.

Um, 17:11 - real estate forum?

I love it. And while contemporary homes have not historically been very popular in the DC area, I think they will gain ground as more of the younger members of Generation X become home owners.

I love it. I wish so much that I could get this in Arlington (and for $200,000 less). But you're right, you can tell from the floor plan on the virtual tour that they are counting the lower level rec room as a fourth bedroom. I still think it is worth the price.

Gorgeous. When I grow up, I want a house like that.

Yep, love it - though it's not really terribly family-friendly, more James Bond. Imagine the parties you could have!

Hey- cool.

It's done nicely on the inside but the house feels like a series of rooms that don't hang together as a whole. From the outside it resembles a stop on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Good point, 22:47. The two halves of the lower level look entirely separate! But I think they have done a nice job splitting the main floor into private/bedroom and public living space. LOL Jersey Turnpike, know what you mean.

Really love it!! (and usually don't like 50's homes in DC)

OMG, I love this house. I would buy it in a second. There are so many more expensive houses around that have less architectural style. If the commute worked for me, I *would* buy this house.

It's outside of our price range, but if it weren't, DH would have bought it in a heartbeat. I think it's cool, but not sure it works well for kids, which is sorta the point of our house hunt.

Swoon....

1. I think that the 4th bedroom would be the "Family Room"--it has a closet, windows, and a 1/2 bath.

2. Clearly, you are not the only one who appreciates this home!
