I'm facebook friends with just about all of my friend's spouses, so I could contact them that way.

Yes. If our kids are friends, too. I feel a need to get to know DH very well and see what they're like because kids do sleepovers and if DH is an unknown quantity, it's not happening.

No. I have no reason to call them. If I can't get ahold of my husband, I leave a voicemail and send a text. I know he will call me back. Other than that he is a grown adult and we are both self sufficent and check in when needed.

The one time that I truly couldn't find him, I called three close friends to see if they had seen him. After waiting hours I called the highway patrol. They were able to tell me he was indeed in an accident (motorcycle) and what hosptial he was at. I consider that a once in a lifetime (hopefully) call that I had to make. Calling all of his friends and their spouses would not have helped.
