commute from tyson's?

what's the best way to get from tyson's to dc? drive? drive to vienna or dunn loring and metro in? short is nice but i would take an extra 10 min if it meant preserving some sanity...

66 if you can carpool or drive outside of car pool hours. Otherwise metro is your next best bet. I'd recommend West Falls Church over Dunn Loring.

Or Ballston if you can't find parking at W.F.C.

What time does the lot at WFC fill up these days?

I always drive, take 123 to the GW. Between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the time you go.

I tried that yesterday afternoon. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get home. The traffic moved, but slowly.

66 with a hybrid. I went from exit 69 to the Roosevelt bridge in 12 minutes this morning (I'll grant you, it was at 7:10, but still . . .). It usually takes me 20 minutes (leaving at 7:45) to the bridge.

Late 10:30 or 11 am. If you can get ino work that late 66 should be a breeze.

Buy a Hybrid and take 66. That's what my DH did. We are in FC his commute is 20 - 25 minutes in everyday!

Gov. McDonnell just granted Hybrids on HOV as long as you have the clean fuel tag.

Oh wait this is stupid, BOOOOOO this sucks,

On I-66, only hybrid vehicles with clean fuel plates issued before July 1 of last year are permitted to use the HOV lanes during rush hours. Hybrid vehicles with clean fuel plates issued after that date will be ticketed.

On I-395/95, only hybrids with clean fuel plates issued before July 1, 2006, are permitted to use the I-395 HOV lanes during rush hours. Police will ticket any hybrid vehicle that does not have a clean fuel plate issued before that date.
