Frizz bomb

Anonymous
Today my hair was a frizz bomb. It's never been like this before. It actually seems to be thicker as I age (I'm 42). I also have a new haircut, kind of like a layered shag. I'm trying to blow it out every morning as opposed to just skimming it back in a ponytail as I usually do. I've gotten compliments on it so far, but not today. It was HUGE. Long story short, I'm new to this frizziness. I anticipate a lot more humid days as summer progresses. Please tell me what kind of leave in spray or product you use to combat this problem.

TIA!

Signed,

Frizz Bomb

PS Please don't tell me not to wash it every day. I have to b/c my scalp is an oil slick if I don't. Also, I'm a teacher, so I'm outside sweating for part of the day, which is another reason why I have to wash it.

Yeah I'm a trainer and I have the frizz bomb and have to wash it at least once a day. I can tell you that what worked is switching products to sulfate and silicone free. I know use kinky curly shampoo (found at whole foods and drugstore.com) and then use either devachan conditioner and some product like curl keeper (found online but really awesome stuff) or kinky curly custard or Jessie curl confident coils line. Good luck! Also I use a headband on particularly crazy days.

I am 46 and my hair has definitely changed in the last year. It used to be stick-straight with no frizz; now it has a crazy wave to it and is frizzy. My hairdresser is the same age and said the same thing is happening to her; she thinks it's the different texture of the gray hair we now have and I think the haircolor isn't helping things, either. She suggested products with Keratin and also some of the oils on the market to make the frizz lay down.

I've heard that keratin treatments work well for this. For the wavy (not curly) -haired ladies, try a flat iron on the days when you really want straight hair. A friend gave me one for my birthday and it really helps.
