If you aren't pregnant, does period start normally after IVF?

Hello
I am probably way over thinking the "cramps" and I am convinced I am having now. I did ET on April 22 and ovulation/retrieval on April 19. I have always had a very regular 28 day cycle. I am curious though if I am NOT pregnant, should I expect that my period will start on Thursday or Friday this week, about 14 days post ovulation? I am still on daily progesterone so will that affect my period starting? Im actually too scared to take a pregnancy test, I just can't take another negative test. I would almost rather just wait for my period to start.
My dr says it still way too early to test but I am going on 12 days Post ovuatlion and 10dp3dt and that seems like plenty of time to know one way or the other.

You won't get your period if you're still taking progesterone (which sucks, I know). Hang in there.

If you're inclined (and won't freak out over an early negative), I would take a HPT. I had a very, very (barely there) faint line at 6dp5dt and am now just over 5 weeks (still being cautiously optimistic until the first U/S next week). I used a wondfo test, which I believe are ultra-sensitive (20 mlU, I think). Note though, that if you didn't test until your trigger was out of your system, you can't be sure that a faint positive is a pregnancy and not just residual hCG.

I have gotten my period on progesterone and I've not gotten it, so it's tough to make that call. I agree with 21:37, take an HPT. I got a faint positive 7 days past a 5 day transfer. You're about in that window, because that would be 12 days past retrieval, right now you're at that as of tomorrow a.m.

I will say the times I got my period I felt the same "period is coming cramps" that I did when I wasn't pregnant, so don't go by that. You're on all these meds, so everything is engineered now. Symptoms mean nothing.
