Burnt Mills vs. Sligo Creek vs. Potomac immersion programs?

Anonymous
Aside from the language differences, and full immersion vs. partial, what are your thoughts on these programs? If you have a child in any of these programs, what has your experience been?

I have seen some negative postings about the principal at SC- anyone with kids there in the immersion program have thoughts on that?

Thanks.

Did you get spots in all three?

No- but got moderately good wait list numbers at all three. Expecting to have to make a quick decision if the wait lists start moving. Any advice appreciated.

So far, I really like the teachers at Burnt Mills, but there are aspects of the school I dislike, as well. The principal is pretty cold and very test-driven. There's no transportation if you're not zoned for the school. The immersion classes are huge--I think first grade this year is 27 kids, although it's a Title I school and the other first grades are (I believe) ~20.

If you have specific questions, post an email and I'll contact you.
