Ladies
I am taking my child to swimming pool for baby and me classes. He will be 6 months at the time. I guess we need to have special diapers for the swim? What would be the right ones? I tried to google, but all that comes up is for toddlers. Is there anything for my little one? Thanks |

Well, I'm not a lady but I can tell you swim diapers in various sizes (marked by weight) are usually sold in CVS and Giant-- although sometimes they stop selling them at the end of summer so you might want to buy a couple of packages. Most public pools ask you to use both a diaper and a rubber pant over it but it's not clear to me if everyone does that.

OP here
Thank yuo very much for the reply. WOuld you mind telling me what the diaper should say? for example "swadlers", "baby dry", etc |
|
No, it would say something more clearly about swimming, e.g., "Huggies' Little Swimmers"

Swim diapers are intended to keep poo in the diaper and out of the pool.
They are designed to be tight and they do not absorb water. SO ... do not put your child in a swim diaper before leaving the house. If they pee between the house and the pool you will have a big puddle. Have fun with your swim class. |

This site has a bunch of swim diapers for sale for different sizes.

So I guess I need to uput a reg diaper on the child and then change it to the swimming one at the pool? |
| Yeah, I would wait until you get to the pool to put on the swim diaper. Don't forget to bring a regular diaper for them to change into afterwards. Also, the nice thing about the swim diapers is that the sides rip apart so you can just rip them off rather than trying to pull them off. It took me a few months of struggling before I finally figured that one out! |
