What was up with Shawn's scores? The commentator said that the judges did not like her lines? Is that another way of saying her figure? Anyway, Nastia was better tonight.

Johnson was very choppy, not graceful enough.

It's a difference in style: Johnson has the power, Liuken has the grace. Most judges favor one or the other.

I've been watching the sport for last 6 months (nationals, trials, and now olympics) and Luikin did her very best competition yesterday. She was hobbling on a broken/sprained ankle not too long ago. So it was great to see her win. I think Shawn didn't do as well as she usually does (usually perfect). Thus the difference. Amazing that the americans can go 1-2 but still miss winning the finals. I guess that is how tight the competition is...
