Mock Tuna

Anonymous
I've been a vegetarian for 26 years, and one thing I've always missed is tuna salad. My friend just posted a "mock tuna salad" recipe on facebook and it was awesome and I thought I'd share. Just substitute 1 can chick peas (mash them up) for the tuna, then 2 tablespoons each of mayo and spicy mustard, sweet relish and some green or regular onions, salt and pepper and I swear it tastes awesome!

Yes, thanks! I do miss tuna salad.

Busboys and Poets has something similar on the menu, but their recipe includes seaweed, which seems to make it more tuna-like.

I make a similar recipe with Great Northern Beans. Surprisingly good.
