| Im pretty far down on the w/l and just wondering how much longer we may have to wait? Can anyone tell me if the teens have at least been called? Thank you in advance. |
| Bump |
| know nothing about this but you need to indicate grade in this kind of post. |
| Janney isn't taking OOB students, so if you are on the OOB waitlist, you shouldn't expect any movement. For pre-K, it's a different story. |
| Ditto. There will be no movement this year unless you are talking about pre-K. Then there might be movement in the next month since enrollment forms are due tomorow. |
This is what I was thinking. OP, be prepared to wait through August. It takes a long time to move through the list. |
Op here - obviously, I'm a newbie ! Prek waitlist !
|
| With 28 inboundary children on the waitlist I suspect the waitlist will move much. Again, your best bet is to remain flexible until August/September because by then most inboundary families who didn't get a spot will have paid for private preK and won't want to lose the money since they are guaranteed a spot the following year. |
| I meant "I suspect the waitlist will NOT move much" |
|
I am pretty sure the waitlist moved quite a bit last year, there was an earlier thread on this. Maybe not all through the IB waitlist (they are expecting amonster of a K class next year) but quite a way.
It has moved significantly more since they expanded to 60 slots 2 years ago. |
| Last year we moved off from the teens... |
| Agree that it will move a good bit - probably not to every kid, but I bet it goes at least to #12 or 15. |
|
Last year the wait list moved to number #26 about the day before school started.
#26 is in my kid's class. |
| Anyone willing to state the number that got moved ? We are anxiously awaiting..... |
| Have you called the principal? Class lists come out next week, so they'll be close to filling up the class. Recently she has saved the last three slots for inclusion kids and filled them at the very end from the waitlist - not sure what she's doing this year. |
