| New to this whole process. Is there a limit to the amount of charter schools and public schools you can apply to for public schools and charters for pre-k/k? |

| Yes to DCPS - its 6 but the deadline for the lottery has passed for this year. For charters there's no limit but most if not all deadlines for lotteries have passed for this year although they all are still accepting apps and you will just go to the bottom of the wait list. |

Through DCPS lottery for PK4 (which anyone who wants a PK4 spot anywhere inthe city must do) you get up to 6 choices ranked by preference. K you will have rights to your inbounds school.
Charters: no limit. Consider geographic location and special programs (bilingual, Momtessori, etc). |
