What to do with tub of Harissa?

Anonymous
I bought a tub of Harissa only to find out it wasn't sun dried tomatoe spread after smearing it all over my sandwich. Um...yeah, burned my tongue nearly off. So now, what to do with it? Vegan recipes appreciated.

Harissa is sold at Whole Foods with the cava products. It is what is added to plain hummus to make the cava spicy hummus.

So you can add some to hummus or mix it with olive oil to spread on roasted veggies.

For non vegans it can be used as dollop of spice on top of omelets, chicken etc.

Makes a great condiment for felafel.

You can also make a great Khoshari with it.

It's deliciously spicy -- add it to anything that you want to zip up a bit. Great on eggs. And it keeps forever.

Harissa is great on French bread, as Tunisians often eat it. Put some on a plate and add some olive oil to cut the heat as needed. Dip bread or spread. Also goes great with couscous, especially mixed in with veggies.
