Children's Therapy Center in Springfield

Anonymous
I'm thinking of making an appointment with the Children's Therapy Center in Springfield for an OT evaluation. My son has ADHD and possibly Asperger's, with some fine motor and sensory issues.

Any insight on this practice, or OT in general would be appreciated.

What other practices should I consider - preferably in Northern VA?

We've been going to CTC for several years. I have two kids with SNs and there was one point where both kids were there. I've had experience with a number of therapy places and therapists and CTC, for me, has been the best. All the therapists we've seen there have been very good.

We used to go there for PT, until our insurance started asking them for more work/documentation than they were willing to make the effort to provide. Kind of a meat grinder -- kids in, kids out, not much communication with the office staff. Our PT would cancel appointments with a week's notice, then shrug her shoulders when it was impossible to find another free spot in the schedule to keep DS on track.

We went there for over a year and our PT never cancelled on us. We had a very good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if we had to. Yes, it's a busy practice, but aren't the good ones generally busy?
