Where to go with 2 year old for weekend trip?

My husband is planning to have the boys visit for a long weekend this summer and they will all be staying at our house. I am thinking that DS and I will need to go away that weekend. Any ideas for a long weekend trip for mama and a 2 year old? Something that might actually be at least slightly fun and relaxing for me? I know that is a long shot...

I suggest the beach or a water destination. Especially if your 2 yr. old is still napping. I would get a hotel room at the beach (MD or DE) with a water view. Go out on the beach in the mornings and play and sun and walk and then have lunch and come back to the room let him crash for nap and you can go out on the balcony and read or chill or nap. Then have an early dinner, do some boardwalk stuff, have some ice cream or snack and then come back in and go down for the night.

Or depending on where you live, you could do something like Annapolis or Baltimore, stay right downtown in a hotel with a pool. Do some type of activity in the morning (aquarium, pirate boat ride, science center, playground, etc.) and a nice lunch, then down for a nap while you sit on balcony and relax and then dinner and the pool and snack.

Maybe some place like Leesburg? Just hang at the hotel pool.

I can't imagine anything being super-fun for you, because you'll need activities to center around your son. But I'd go with Lancaster - you could go to Dutch Wonderland one day and the other day doing 'train stuff' in Strasburg. If your DS is even a little bit into trains, he'll love that.
