I am looking for feedback from parents who enrolled their english-speaking child at LAMB Montessori. Our family does not speak spanish (although I took spanish through college, so can get by), but am extremely interested in having our child in an immersion environment. How was the transition for your child into the LAMB environment? How were their interactions with peers?
Also, I have read through all of the feedback on LAMB on this site, but some of it is quite old. If anyone has general feedback to share from the most recent year, I would be very interested in hearing your impressions of the school and the programs. Our daughter is in the 30s on the waiting list so I'm not sure what that means, but trying to be prepared. Thanks! |

I am a LAMB parent that enrolled my 3yo last year and I love that he is learning to speak Spanish so quickly. We are an English-speaking household, I've had very little spanish instruction and that was many years ago. However, even with my limited experience with the language I am still able to support him and he is teaching me so much. His transition was fairly easy because he was in a mostly spanish speaking daycare for about a year before enrolling in LAMB. Other children who had no experience outside of home care had a more difficult transition, but I attributed that to developmental age and not to the spanish.
Hope this helps... |
