| Slowly loosing my grip on reality. Dominion has not called me yet with my blood test results from this AM - its 5 pm. They are now closed according to their main line message. Anyone else ever gotten a late call from them? |
| I've always gotten a call by 3p.m. but maybe they were busy, check your messages and if they didn't call, leave them a message on the emergency number and they will get back to you. |
| Not surprising. The girls are probably doing their Dimattina worship service early today. |
| Ugh Dominion did this to me too - I even started a thread about it a year or so ago - sitting here with my 6 week old, so what they did worked, but I did always stress that they had forgotten to call me! |
OP - They called at 5:30...like I said, I've totally lost my grip on reality
|
| Good Luck OP! |

Is it common to be called after they close?
I really want to call them but I assume all that will happen is I leave a voicemail on the nurse's line. Is that obnoxious? |
| So I was the OP of this thread (now 12 weeks pregnant) - it is not common, Ive gone through beta hell 3 times, it only happened to me that one time, and also another time I didn't get a call and left a message on the emergency line (stretching the boundaries of emergency, I know). The nurse called me immediately and was nice, and understanding - someone had left a message but I never got it. If you haven't heard from them, call the emergency line and they'll sort it out. It might be obnoxious, but it was worth it to me for peace of mind. |

12 weeks! Congrats, OP.
PP here, I did get called before closing, with good news. I will try to relax in the future and your update will help. |
Thank you Congrats to you as well! I can say for certain (with some perspective) that the beta waiting is the worst and most anxiety inducing part and once I heard/saw the heartbeat, I was able to calm down significantly.

Honestly, I think they try to get the betas out first...at least that is what I was told (4-5 years ago). I DID however, get a number of hormone and next day's assignments after 5. They are certainly aware of the beta ladies anxiety. On my successful IVF (my third attempt) they actually called TWICE on a Saturday! First early afternoon, to give me initial test results (stunningly high)...and then a second time, WAY after hours for a Saturday for the more detailed number that they had to get through a dilution. I have b/g twin 3 year olds running around my house. |
| Hah - I actually asked them at one point if they called the bad results first and then saved the better ones for later in the afternoon (that was always my case). They told me no, there was no rhyme or reason, they just divided up the calls and each took them. One time Dr. DiMattina called me with my results and that was the worst call I got; just hearing his voice and tone, I knew it was bad news. |

Funny, PP...Dr. G was my doc...and I honestly don't mind Dr. D...but, the WORST BFN IVF call I got was from Dr. D too!
My BFP calls (two of them) were from the nurses, not the docs. |
