This father of a child with ASD ROCKS, but the video made me sick.

Horrible. I feel sick to my stomach. I can't watch this without crying. What a great father and protector he is for his son.

A classroom assistant at my son's private school did almost exactly this to him. It makes me want to punch people in the face.

OP again. 8:53 that is horrible!!!!!

I watched the video several times. I thought about how frustrating my own child can be and the way he can ask the same question 100 times over the course of severasl hours to the point I'm exasperated. I'm willing to consider some things were taken out of context and that father may have over-reacted to the teachers being annoyed with answering the son's questions so many times. However..calling a kid a "bastard", talking about your drinking, yelling at a kid like that, complaining about parents in front of the kids, etc is deplorable. I am curious to see what kind of statement the school system makes in response to this father now that he has gone on Youtube.

This is so sad and disappointing. Why are these people teachers?

This video is so disturbing. Luckily, my son is now able to tell me a little about his day, but there were several years when he couldn't. I depended on his teachers to let me know what was happening with him, and I can see how easily a child could be bullied or abused by a teacher.

I think my son was treated very well, but I wasn't there all day, every day.

I hope the Dad in the video gets the public apology that he's looking for - and that the teachers find another line of work.

This is awful. Do you mind me asking what school that was--your child attended?

I cannot even get through this video. I'm already in tears imagining this was my son. It's so heartbreaking and makes me want to shelter my son forever.

Those evil bitches deserve to rot.

she tells him to shut his mouth in a nasty tone and she does tell him no when he asks if he is going to see his dad and yes, those are inappropriate for any teacher to do but from some of the descriptions I read of the video I expected a woman yelling, screaming and cursing and a child and that's not at all what happens.

Should she be a teacher? Hell no.

I applaud the father for what he did.

This is what we heard on ONE day. I wonder what they were like on other bad days. I keep imagining someone, whom I trust to care for my son, treating him as if he's worthless and insignificant. In his innocent mind he shouldn't even know evil yet. I stand by my "rot" statement.

I'd rather not. The school fired her.

Put this video in the general parenting forum so everybody can view it and become sensitized to children with autism and other communication disorders. There are many teachers and education specialists reading that thread than they may be in reading this one.

This dad did a great thing by wiring his son. So glad that woman was fired.

I hope the educators of New Jersey recognize that more monitoring of their teachers is needed.
