Do any of you have recommendations for therapists who deal with infertility? This process is starting to take a toll on me and my relationship. Prefer downtown DC.

Kate Merovsek has been great support.

To add a different point of view, we had a terrible experience with Kate Merovsek. It was a total waste of money.

Specifically, we are a gay couple, and we were required to see her by our RE because we were using a known sperm donor. She was completely clueless about issues dealing with gay couples or sperm donation. In fact, she gave us some articles about egg donation in which she had crossed out the word "egg" and wrote in "sperm".

I know you prefer downtown DC location, but I wanted to put my recommendation in. We've seen Barbara Cohen in Annapolis a few times and have had a very good experience talking with her. I believe she has built her family both with donor egg and through adoption, so she has excellent personal perspective on various choices out there as well as spouse/partner relationships/communication as you are going through this process.
