one night away with kids and husband this August ideas

| We are looking to head out for a night away (perhaps 2), just to break up the August doldrums. Any ideas? Nothing to crazy expensive. We have a 2 and a 4 year old. Thanks so much! |

| We always love the beach (Rehoboth) and have done just a day trip, overnight and weekly stays. It's not bad if you can go mid-week and it's only 3 hrs from DC. There are a few inexpensive hotels a block or two from the beach and you get away with a slice of pizza for dinner or lunch. We'd fill up a cooler with fruit, snacks and drinks to cut down on spending at the beach. Dewey beach is close too and doesn't have the boardwalk if you want something a little quieter. |

| Marriott has a wonderful Romance Package. With your room you get chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, early check in and late check out. |
