Any Londoners/UKers move here and place your children into MOCO schools?

Just wondering what you think of how your school handled your child's placement and how your child handled the transition. Did you speak directly with the Principal here and do any testing before placement? Was placement based entirely on age or on subjects completed/skill? Is school harder here or there?

I am a Londoner with kids in Moco schools, but our kids didn't go to school in the UK so I can't really answer your questions. For primary school I would say the standard is roughly comparable, for high school I would say standards in the UK are a little higher. A lot depends on the school, the subject and the classes though.

I am from the US but went to British school in another country for Class 1-Class 6. I would say the education I received there was much more challenging, however I think it all evens out eventually. I would stick with age-linked grade level, but agree with PP that it depends on the particular school.
