Once Strep B Positive Always Strep B positive?

Has anyone ever been strep B positive the first time and NOT strep B positive the subsequent times? I'm hoping not to have to go through all the antibiotic regimes.

Not exactly what you are asking, but I was negative the first 2 pregnancies and positive this time. My understanding is that it can work in the opposite direction as well....

I was positive both times, but understand that this is not always the case, which is why they test you each time you're pregnant.

Yes. I was tested at the beginning of my pregnancy and was positive. The test was repeated at 36 weeks and was negative. My OB said they are still going to treat me at the delivery.

My Ob also followed that philosophy.. once + alwasy +- it's a cautionary treatment- based on what i read- i'm glad that approach was taken (i wasn't even tested the 2nd pregnancy though i suspect i would have remained +)..
