2.5 yo leaking through diaper at night

Anonymous
My son is leaking through his diaper at night, wetting his pajamas, and waking us all up. He's in size 6 diapers--so we can't go up another size. Any suggestions?

start limiting his beverage intake at 3 or 4pm and start a routine of putting him on the potty before bedtime. Even if he's not potty trained, he'll eventually get into the habit of peeing one more time before bed. good luck!

We use adult incontinence "diaper doublers" in our 2 yo's nighttime diapers.

I thought pampers still made a size 7 diaper? If you can't find this use a diaper booster pad for extra absorbancy. Limiting fluids after dinner did not work for either of my kids.

I'd try potty before bed, and switching to nighttime pull ups. They make those in larger sizes.

They sell pampers cruisers in a size 7, but only on-line. (I've never been able to find them in stores.) But even those leak for our 3 yo DD at night, so we use the overnight pullups, and then put a size 7 diaper on top of them. (Believe it or not, she still leaks sometimes!)

Babies r us sells baby pads to place in the diaper. It worked great for us

Thanks all--based on PP's recommendation for size 7 pampers, I found that they also make a size 6 overnight product. So I'll try that.

The Huggies overnights worked really well for us, MUCH MUCH better than the pampers night ones. They also come in a 6.

I'll second the Huggies Overnights recommendation. Also, even if you aren't potty training yet, add a trip to sit on the potty to the right before bed routine. Anything that he learns to pee out will be less he pees overnight.

Pampers does make a 7 but you generally have to order it from like Amazon or Diapers.com. You can try Pullups. I know Pampers makes a brand of big kid type pullups called UnderJams. They are definitely meant for older kids even up to 80 lbs, but the smallest one might work. Lastly, as weird as it sounds, you can line the diaper with a doubler or even a maxi pad to see if that helps.

Pampers makes a size 7 and Babies R Us carries them.

They are MUCH cheaper when you order them online though.

My son is outgrowing the 7's, and he's not even 2.5. Time to potty train for us.
